Get the right information to the right person in a form they can use

The goal is to increase sales, revenues and profits. All this hinges on the ability of trading partners to share information about the products that flow through the supply chain. Sharing information relies on compliance to standards.

BSA members have invested thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to develop the standards. It is taking a team approach to get everyone in the supply chain to “play ball” with the same set of rules. This requires:

Coaches – Some to take the broad view and others to provide specific skills
Team members - with different responsibilities in various companies
Education and training - to understand what, why and how to play by the rules
Away to keep score – Who is at what level of compliance? And who needs a little coaching
A place to practice and communicate -  Different players in different companies on different issues

All this is accomplished through this web site and its links to others.

Registration - Identify appropriate contact including area of interest and responsibility. Tell the supply chain what elements of information are provided or required.
Directories - Trading partners can find the appropriate contact (area of interest or authority) and level of compliance, within a given company and make contact for requests or clarification.
Collaboration - Trading partners and standard setters can ask questions and exchange sample files that demonstrate the level of compliance.
Exchange - Get the industry standard file and populate it with your product information on the items that you sell and upload sample files to exchange with your trading partner.
